Mr. Stephan Alan Lawrence, 67of Johnston city died on Tuesday, July 3, 2018at the V.A Medical centerHe was born in Chicago Friday, January 5, 1951 to Hosea Clifford and Betty Jane (Johnson) Lawrence. He moved to southern Illinois as a teen. He served in the Navy as an aviation electrician during Vietnam on the USS Saratoga. He continued as an electrician in the coal mines. He loved sports, warm summer days and cocktails and especially his family.Surviving are daughters, Summer and husband Jeff Clough of Herrin. Tassia Lawrence (Reed) and husband Rick Phillips of Texas and Autum and husband Tom Hancock of Murphysboro, 1 son Cole and wife Amanda Lawrence of Johnston City. Also surviving is the mother of his children Cynthia Pribble, grandchildren, Mason, Logan, Kannyn Clough, Aaron and Nathan Hancock and Kora Lawrence and sisters Linda Reiner and Gail Buffington both of Chicago, brothers Clifford Lawrence of Kentucky and Joe Lively of Desoto and many nieces and nephews. Stephan also leaves behind special friends, Bob Kaese, Tim Martin, Harvey Bearden, Roger Rodely and his puppies Ru and Angel. He will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents,step mother Joan Lawrence and sisters, Cheryl Kennedy and Teresa Lively. A Funeral service will be at 6:00 PM on Saturday at Van Natta Funeral Home located at 427 South Park Avenue Herrin, Illinois 62948 with the Speaker officiating.
