Ronald Dean Aissie

Ronald Dean Aissie, a beloved member of the community, passed away on July 27, 2023, in Carbondale. He was born on May 23, 1937, in Carterville, Illinois. Ronald was known for his dedicated work in the financial departments throughout southern Illinois and for his pastoral service in several Assembly of God Churches in the region. He retired from the Bellair Assembly of God Church in Gulfport MS.
Ronald's life will be honored and celebrated during a Graveside Service held at Oakwood Cemetery in Carterville on July 31, 2023. The service will begin at 1:00 PM and conclude at 2:00 PM.
Ronald is preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Mary Louise (Layman) Aissie. He is survived by his loving wife Charlotte (Hock) Aissie and their two daughters Rhonda and Paula. Rhonda and her husband J.B. Cope reside in Mt Vernon, while Paula resides in Cisne Illinois.
He was a doting grandfather to Nicholas and his wife Rachelle of Alexandria Virginia; Nicole and her husband Rich Weirich of Cisne Ill; Christopher Cope; Courtney and her husband Calen, all residing in Mt Vernon Ill. Ronald leaves behind eleven great-grandchildren who brought him immeasurable joy: Sydney and Madison Durham; Jackson Sheridan; Josie, Jase, Jessa, Graysen Cope; Alana, Aiden, Azaiah Patridge; and Penelope Zdan.
Ronald also leaves behind his brother Jack Aissie of St. Louis Mo., who will forever cherish their memories together.
A man of great integrity and devotion to his faith, Ronald touched the lives of many through his impactful career and pastoral work. He will be remembered for his unwavering commitment to his community, his dedication to his family, and his heartfelt guidance as a pastor.
Ronald Dean Aissie's presence will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His legacy will continue to inspire and guide us as we carry his memory in our hearts.
