Phyllis Rudolph

Phyllis Rudolph, a beloved soul, left this world on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at the age of 99, while in the comforting care of Shawnee nursing home in Herrin. She graced the earth in Doe Run Mo., born to Harry and Ola (Hardesty) Bayless. In a beautiful union that lasted a lifetime and beyond, she married Bill Rudolph on October 5, 1944; his spirit preceded hers on March 26, 2003.

Left to cherish her memory are her dear children: Charles and his wife Sandy Rudolph of Branson Mo., Kevin and his wife Nina Rudolph of Marion; and her loving daughter Sharon and her husband Theron (Zip) DeRousse. In the tapestry of Phyllis's life, she was also survived by her sister Janet Courtley of Farmington Mo. Her legacy continues through her three grandchildren: Matthew with his wife Jennifer, Chase with his wife Hollie, and Devin with her husband Chris Haub; as well as her two great-grandsons, Drake and Levi.

In the garden of memories that Phyllis tended to throughout her journey, she was greeted in heaven by her parents, husband Bill, three brothers Warren, Harry, Gene Bayless; as well as five sisters Juanita Hahn, Margaret Powell,  Ann Aubuchon, Norma Roberts and Glenda Bayless.

A graceful farewell awaits Phyllis at the graveside service on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at 12:00 pm in the Herrin City Cemetery. Friends are kindly invited to gather directly at the cemetery to honor Phyllis's spirit. The arrangements are being lovingly handled by Van Natta Funeral Home.

As we bid adieu to a life richly lived—a life interwoven with love and memories—may we find solace in knowing that Phyllis Rudolph's kindness and warmth shall forever linger in our hearts. Memorials can be made to donors choice.
