Peggy Wade

Peggy Joyce (Bradshaw) Wade, age 92, formerly of Herrin, Il., passed from this life and entered her Heavenly home rejoicing, on November 11, 2023, in Street, MD.

Peggy was born on January 18, 1931, in Herrin, Il, to John B. and Maude (Strunk) Bradshaw. She married the love of her life, Fred Junior Wade, on January 6, 1950.

He preceded her in death after 56 years of marriage on May 17, 2006. She also was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters: Katherine Glisson,
Corine Jones Heady, and Patsy Engram; great grandson Zachary Krug; niece Karen Nelson and nephews: Deon Brown, Gary Jones, and Dennis Jones.

She is survived by her four children: Randy Wade and wife (Regina) of DuQuoin, Il., Rhonda (Wade) Richards and husband (Troy) of Monkton, MD.,
Rodney Wade and wife (Brenda) of Montgomery, TX., and Ranetta (Wade) McRill and husband (Tom) of Freeman Spur, Il.; Brother-in-law Ray Wade of
Herrin Il., eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren plus nieces and nephews.

Peggy's love for children inspired her to further her education. She earned a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Elementary Education,
plus a Specialist Degree in Reading. She taught First Second and Third Grades as well as Remedial Reading for 26 years at the West Frankfort
Il. School District.

After retiring in 1991, Peggy and her husband, Fred, frequently traveled to Maryland, Texas, and Central Illinois to visit their grandchildren
and great-grandchildren. The grandchildren have fond memories they have shared of the fun vacations spent traveling with Grandpa Freddy and Grandma Peggy!

Serving Jesus was a priority in Peggy's life. Serving family and friends ran a very close second. Throughout her life when family members or friends had
a prayer request they knew she was just a phone call away. She was a true prayer warrior and will be missed by all she touched in her lifetime.

Psalm 116:15 Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His Saints.

Visitation will be on Saturday December 16, 2023 from 11:00 am until time of service . Service will be at 1:00 pm at the Van Natta Funeral Home in Herrin with Rev. Don Colson officiating.
