Michael Diuguid

  Michael Diuguid, 22 of Zeigler, Illinois passed away on Wednesday, January 24th, 2018. Michael was born Wednesday, March 22, 1995 in Carbondale, Illinois to Ronnie and Stephanie (Pochie) Diuguid. He is survived by his father Ronnie Diuguid, significant other Jennifer Jabczynski, sister Paige Diuguid, and Noah Mayberry.   Michael is also survived by his mother Stephanie and Mike Kuchar. Other survivors are his sister, Makenzie Flare, friend Cody Coleman, and brother Mason Kell. Grandparents are Steve and Connie Pochie of Hurst, Ronald Diuguid of Royalton, step mother Angela and Rick Tessone, step sisters Darian, Alex, and Cadence of Freeman Spur, uncle John Pochie and his son Jameson of Marion, aunts Diana and Shawn Walker and Sheila and Scott Stubblefield all of Royalton. Also surviving is several cousins. Michael is preceded in death by his grandmother Sheron Diuguid, great grand parents, Johnny and Modest Byrlay, Leon and Ruth Diuguid and Charles Pochie. Michael graduated from Carbondale High School in 2016 fulfilling his promise to Grandmother Sheron to obtain his High School Diploma.    Michael was a passionate outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. Michael also enjoyed racing his micro sprints race car during weekend races at the Southern Illinois Raceway. Michael followed in his fathers footsteps becoming a Firefighter previously serving with both the Zeigler and Royalton Fire Departments.   The family will receive friends for visitation from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, February 2nd, 2018, at Van Natta Funeral Home, 427 South Park Avenue, in Herrin, Illinois.Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 3rd, 2018 at Van Natta Funeral Home located at 427 South Park Avenue Herrin, Illinois 62948 with the Rev. Dennis F. Bush officiating.
