Mary Starnes

Herrin- Mary Starnes 93 of Herrin died on March 25, 2021 at her home. Mary was born in Herrin to George and Myrtle (Blue) Legan November 8, 1927. Mary was a member of the Harvest Time Church in Herrin. Mary was married to Bill (Red) Starnes he preceded her in death. She is survived br 5 children, Linda and Don Gass of West Frankfort, Donna Cole of Herrin , Mike and Sheryl Starnes of Herrin and Patricia and John also of Herrin. Mary has 1 sister Ruth and Ike Hicks of De Soto. she is also survived by 10 grand children and 14 great grand children. Mary was preceded in death by her parents , husband, 1 son Jerry Starnes and 1 grand son Dillon, 4 brothers and 2 sisters . Graveside service will be Monday March 29 at 11:00 am in the Herrin City Cemetery Rev. Todd Hawk will be officiating.. those attending are asked to go directly to the cemetery. Memorial can be made to the Harvest Time Church. Van Natta Funeral Home in Herrin in charge of the arrangements.
