Mary (Kristy) Kristina Russell

Mary (Kristy) Kristina Russell, 51, passed away October 30, 2021 in the Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. She was born February 11, 1970  in Murphysboro to Joe and Mary Gray of DeSoto; they survive. She is survived by her husband, Kenny Russell, they were married August 17, 1991, and two daughters, Kristina and her husband Matt Kohl of Energy, and Kendra and her husband Roscoe Bridges of Cobden. She is also survived by 1 sister, Gina Joiner, and 1 brother, Rusty and wife Krysty Gray of DeSoto, and her grandchildren: Drew, Jory, Keelyn, and Raegan. She has 2 special nieces: Hannah and Alyssa Gray. Her mother and father-in-law Paul and Martha Russell survive of Herrin, as well as several nieces, nephews, and loving family members. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and Aunt Bunny. Mary had worked at the Bank of Herrin as a loan officer until she became Ill and retired in 2018. 
 
Funeral service will be Friday at 11:00 am at the Van Natta Funeral Home with Rev. Davy Miller officiating, burial will be at Alto Pass Cemetery in Alto Pass.
 
Visitation will be Thursday at 6:00 pm at the Van Natta Funeral Home: 427 South Park Avenue in Herrin.
 
Memorial donations can be made to the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation online at helpfightra.org while envelopes will also be available at the funeral home.
