Johnston City

Linda Lazorchak, a beloved member of the Johnston City community, peacefully left this world on June 8, 2025, at her home. She was born on September 1, 1948, in Herrin, Illinois, to the late John and Hattie (Helms) Tolbert, who nurtured her with love and kindness.

Linda's life was filled with cherished relationships and lasting memories. She is lovingly remembered by her son, Tommy Chew of Carterville, and her dear brother, R.J. "Tadpole" Tolbert. In addition to her immediate family, Linda's heart embraced by 2 grand daughters and 5 great grand children and several stepchildren and step-grandchildren, all of whom brought joy and warmth to her life.

Linda faced challenges with grace and resilience, having been preceded in death by three brothers and four husbands—Charles Chew, Carl Stone, Joe Howard, and John Lazorchak and her daughter Donna Cochran. Each of these individuals contributed to the rich tapestry of her life, creating an enduring legacy of love and connection.

As we gather to honor Linda's memory, funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 PM at Van Natta Funeral Home in Herrin, with Rev. Don Colson officiating. Friends and family are invited to visit from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Cundiff Cemetery in Blairsville, Illinois.

In celebrating Linda's life, we remember her warmth, her strength, and her ability to touch the hearts of those around her. She will be deeply missed but forever cherished in our hearts.
