Judy McMurray

Judy McMurray, a beloved member of the Herrin community, peacefully passed away at her home on Sunday, October 12, 202. Born on August 20, 1948, in Rosebud, Illinois, she was the cherished daughter of Gene and Beulah (Wright) Pribble.

A talented hairdresser for many years, Judy touched the lives of countless clients with her skill and warm spirit. She was not only a dedicated professional but also a passionate member of the Energy Methodist Church, where her faith and kindness radiated throughout her life.

Judy leaves behind her loving husband Louie and their son Stephen, who will forever hold dear the memories of her unwavering love and support. She is also survived by her sister Darlene Carroll of Herrin, along with her three nephews, Richie, Scott, and Kelly Pribble, and her two nieces, Lisa Drummond of Herrin and Colleen Evans of Desoto. Judy is preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Jody Serena, and her niece Cindy Lawrence, each of whom she held close in her heart.

Family and friends will gather to honor Judy's memory during a graveside service on Friday, October 17, 2025, at the Herrin City Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Gary Billiot. The Van Natta Funeral Home is honored to handle the arrangements.

Judy's legacy is one of love, community, and devotion, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
