**In Loving Memory of Joyce Beltz**
Joyce Beltz, a beloved mother, sister, aunt, and friend, peacefully departed this life on December 10, 2025, at her home in Herrin, surrounded by the warmth of cherished memories. Born on February 14, 1944, in Herrin to Kenneth and Florence (Tolbert) Beltz, Joyce embodied the spirit of love and kindness from her earliest days. She was a graduate of Carterville High school 1963.
She is lovingly remembered by her two devoted sons, Bryan and Chris Beltz, who were her greatest pride and joy. Joyce’s legacy continues through her family, including her dear sisters, Judy Hampton of Energy, Illinois, and Peggy Dennison of Herrin, along with several cherished nieces and nephews: Gina Whitson Owen of Arlington Heights, Susie Dennison of California, Michael Dennison of Herrin, Jamie Schubert of Elgin, Mark Schubert of Easley, South Carolina, Michael Schubert of Johnston City and Jejj Beltz of Jackson Mo. Each member of her family carries a piece of her heart with them.
Joyce’s circle of love extended beyond family; she had many special friends who enriched her life, including Ibbie Boren, Rodger Hendricks, Barbara Davis, Minnie Reams cousin, Cindy Giacone also cousin, and Marilyn Phillips. Her friendships were a testament to her warm nature and the joy she brought into the lives of others.
As a devoted member of the Energy Methodist Church, Joyce held her faith close, which guided her throughout her life. She contributed her talents at Allen Industry and Polar Whip, where her work was both valued and admired.
Joyce was preceded in death by her loving parents, her brother Kenneth Beltz, and her nephew Scott Whitson and sister Bonnie Benham. She is also lovingly remembered by Alana Wagner and Anndra Emerson, whom she cherished deeply.
A graveside service to celebrate Joyce’s remarkable life will be held on December 22, 2025, at 12:00 PM in the Egyptian Memorial Gardens cemetery in Herrin. Friends and family are invited to gather and honor her memory together, reminiscing about the beautiful life she lived.
Joyce Beltz will be deeply missed, yet her spirit will continue to shine in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
