John M. Hutton

John M. Hutton, aged 79, peacefully passed away on January 31, 2024, surrounded by his loving family in his Herrin home. Born in Wynnburg, Tennessee, John was the beloved child of George and Daisy (Forsythe) Hutton. He shared 48 wonderful years of marriage with his wife Melody Hutton, who survives him to cherish their memories.

John dedicated many years of his life Acctus Industries in Gary, Indiana before retiring. He possessed a deep passion for ministering to others and served at the Valparaiso Jail in Indiana. Although John's dream of playing football at the University of Tennessee was cut short due to a severe head injury, his love for Tennessee remained steadfast throughout his life.

Left behind to honor his memory is his son Valley and wife Joann Curry-Hutton of Herrin. Additionally, John leaves behind four grandchildren: Westley Hutton and Chrissy Ruiz of Richland Indiana; Chastity and T.J. Tubbs of Thomsonville; Johna Hutton of Christopher; and Ashli and Ryan Chinn, also of Christopher. John was blessed with sixteen great-grandchildren who will forever hold him dear.

Surviving John are his sister Mary Scheuer of Jackson MI., as well as two brothers: Darrell and Tany Hutton of Jackson MI., and James and Kris Hutton of Howell MI. Sadly preceding him in death were his parents and one sister Nellie Rudd

 Services to celebrate John's life will be held at a later date. Van Natta Funeral Home in Herrin is in charge of arrangements.
