Dorothy A. Dunning of Herrin, passed away at Manor Court of Carbondale November 26, 2021. She was

born in Herrin to Nolius and Myrtle (Lockard) Emery. They preceded her in death. She was married to

William Dunning on June 13th, 1946 in Herrin Illinois. He preceded her in death April 6, 1960. His resting

place is Herrin City Cemetery. They had 2 children, Gary and wife Tida Dunning and Garcia Dunning

(Mueth), 4 grandchildren, Bill and Melinda Dunning of Atwater, California, Greg and wife Erin Mueth of

Sunland, California, Daniel and wife Libby Mueth of Kalamazoo, Michigan. She has 3 great grandchildren

Abbey and Hazel Mueth of Sunland, California and Eleanor Mueth of Kalamazoo, Michigan. She is also

survived by 1 sister Vivian Hall of Herrin, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Dorothy was preceded in

death by her parents, husband, 5 sisters, 4 brothers, Virginia and Mary Emery, Clara Payne, Wanda

Allen, Deloris Knight, Harold, James, Charles and Richard, niece Patty Hackley, nephews Tony Payne

and Perry Allen. Dorothy had been employed at Granite City Steel, Smolers, Norge and she retired from

the Herrin Hospital. Van Natta funeral home in Herrin in charge of arrangements
