In Loving Memory of Our Beloved Mom, Grandmother, Sister, Friend- Deanie DillmanDorothy (Deanie) Vaudean Dillman, a cherished resident of Herrin, IL, peacefully passed away on December 28th, 2023, surrounded by her three daughters.

Deanie, was born on November , 1937, to General Jack and Dorothy (Hindman) Elliott, grew up in a lively household with four brothers— George, Doug, Jerry, Jack—and two sisters, Rosamary and Diann. On August 24th, 1953, she and Clyde began a beautiful journey as husband and wife of 68 years together. They welcomed three daughters into the world: Marsha, Debbie, and Tammy.

Deanie was the heart and soul of her family, always putting them first. She was the reliable go-to person for her family, church, and friends. Whenever someone needed a helping hand, Deanie was there without hesitation, embodying the true spirit of family and faith. Her favorite Bible verse was Psalms 23:1-3 which guided her through life's journey.

After Clyde's passing in 2021, Deanie missed him dearly. Yet she showed incredible resilience and independence by moving to the Voyage Assisted Living facility where she spent her final months surrounded by care and compassion.

Deanie leaves behind a legacy of love and strength. She is survived by her three daughters and sons-in-law— Marsha Billingsley (Mark), Debbie Packard, Tammy Hutchison (John). She is also remembered by eight grandchildren, Jason Billingsley (Jacque), Jeffrey Billingsley (Crystal), David Packard (Nicole), Ross and Tara Packard, John Jr., Ryan, and Kevin Hutchison. Deanie is further survived by twelve great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.In addition to her immediate family, Deanie is survived by her brothers George Elliott and Jerry Elliott (Arlene) , sister Rosemary Robinson, brother-in-law James Dillman, sister-in-law Doris Elliott , brother-in-law Arthur Woodcock and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Dorothy Elliott; her sister Diann Woodcock; and three brothers, Baby Richard, Doug and Jack Elliott.

Let us carry forward Deanie's spirit of love and kindness. May she rest in eternal peace.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Deanie's honor be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois, Inc., 204 Halfway Road, Marion, IL 62959-5058, a cause close to her heart.
