Deanna Farmer HERRIN - Deanna Pribble Farmer, 72, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at 8 a.m. Friday, march 5, 2010, at her daughter's home. Deanna was born June 13, 1937, in Herrin, to William "Pete" and Eleanor (Vaughn) Gentry. She married Dale Pribble in April of 1955 and they were married for 36 years until Dale went to meet the Lord on March 14, 1991. Deanna married Jesse Farmer in September, 2001; he survives. She retired from the Bank of Herrin as a cashier several years ago. Deanna and her husband, Jesse Farmer, traveled and attended their grandkid's ballgames. She was a member of Harvest Time Worship Center where she loved to teach music for bible school and help out any way she could to serve her Lord. Other survivors include three sons and one daughter, Rich Pribble of Herrin, Scott and Jaime Pribble of Herrin, Kelly Pribble of London, England and Lisa and Randy Drummond of Johnston City; three step-sons, James and Leeann Farmer, Larry Farmer and Rob Farmer, all of Johnston City; a brother, Gary "Sil" Gentry of Carbondale; a very special friend, Cindy Pribble of Energy; mother-in-law, Beaulah Pribble of Herrin; 16 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several special nieces and nephews; and her church family. Deanna was preceded in death by her first husband, Dale Pribble; father-in-law, Gene Pribble; mother, Elinor Gentry; father, Pete Gentry; grandson, Skylar Matthew Pribble; great-grandson, Elijah Christian Malroy; and beloved niece, Jodi McMurray Serena. Deanna was a beautiful woman inside and out. She never said a bad word about anyone. She loved everyone and prayed for them often. She loved her family and was anxiously waiting the birth of her seventh great-grandchild. If she knew you she was praying for you and sent cards often. Deanna will be sadly missed by all who were blessed to have known her. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 8, 2010, in Harvest Time Worship Center. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the church. Burial will be at East Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Herrin. Van Natta Funeral Home, 427 South Park in Herrin, is in charge of arrangements.
