Mr. Lyn Marty (Wormy) Franklin, age 67, of Herrin, IL, died Thursday, February 4, 2010, in Herrin, IL. Mr. Franklin worked as a carpenter, local 638 and showed and trained horses. He was born March 13, 1942 to Lyn and Lura (Palmer) Franklin they preceded him in death. Surviving are 5 daughters Chrissy and husband David Vancil of Crab Orchard Ill., Shelli and husband Brad Holland of Carterville Il., Debbie Switzer and friend Sara Williams of Indiana, Tammy and husband Rob Riley of Herrin, Lori Bishop of Herrin, 2 sons Wesley and wife Lori of Texas and Gale and wife Becky of West Frankfort IL. 1 brother Delmus and wife Rosemary Franklin of Herrin. Also surviving is 15 grand children and 5 great grand children. His wishes were to be cremated. Visitation will be from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Tuesday at the Van Natta Funeral Home in Herrin Il.
