Mrs. Frances O. Childers, 63 of Herrin, Illinois died on Sunday, November 8, 2009, at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.Born Friday, September 13, 1946 in ,Sumner County Tennessee to Ruben and Pauline (Sanders) Carr. She was the wife of Paul "Buddy" Childers they were married February 14 1976. Surviving are 4 children, Randy and wife Mhel Samples of Williamsburg VI, Teena and husband Lee Kirchner of Herrin, Paula and husband Kent Keller of Anna Ill, Cathy and husband Tony Lythgoe of Princeton In. There are also 12 grand children, Ian and Desiree Samples, Jon and wife Kristy Bird of Herrin, Jeff and wife Sonya Bird of Belleville Ill., Justin and wife Amanda Bird of Herrin and C. J. Kirchner of Herrin, Chelsea and Jennifer Keller of Anna Il., Logan and Taylor Lythgoe of Princeton In. and 6 great grandchildren, Gavin Sebastian and Ariana Bird of Princeton In. and Brandon, Andrew and Katelyn Bird of Belleville Ill. Other survivors include 4 sisters Lana Reach of Marion, Marilyn Sheppard of West Frankfort Ill., Carolyn Carr of Indiana and Dorothy Carr of Edina Mo. 3 brothers Buddy Carr Fl., Rick Carr and Jarvis Carr both of Edina Mo. and her mother Pauline Neese of Edina Mo. She was preceded in death by her father 1 sister Joyce Covey 1 brother James Carr. Fran had a special friend she traveled with Micky Hentz of Marion. Fran also love to read , play slot machines and Bunko. She was given the name Ninny Frinny by her special gr gr daughter Adrianna. She was retired from Franklin- Williamson Co. Substance Abuse Services. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday at Van Natta Funeral Home in Herrin, Illinois with the Rev. Jeff Gee officiating. Interment will be in Herrin City Cemetery, Herrin, IL.The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, November 11, 2009, at Van Natta Funeral Home in Herrin Ill.
