Mr. Ferrell Norman, 85 of Royalton, Illinois went to be with his lord and savior on Saturday, September 17, 2016 He was born Monday, September 14, 1931 in Bush, Illinois to Ernie and Hazel (Glisson) Norman. He was the husband of Mildred (Sheriff) Norman and she survives. They were married November 3, 1959. Surviving are 3 children, Debra and husband Don Rowland of Benton, Danny and wife Beverly Norman of De Soto, IL., Donny Norman of St Louis, 1 step son, Tommy and wife Kathy Mastin of Massonville Iowa. Ferrell is survived by 3 brothers, Jim and Elmer of Herrin, Oscar (Buddy) Lansford of Buckner and 1 sister Vivian Janello of Christopher. Mr. Norman also has 11 grand children, Dusty Traughber, Ricky House and wife Sara, Tim Norman and wife Karen, Eric Norman and wife Lindsay, Jerri and husband Jim O'Brien, Farah and husband Wayne Morris, Michael , Austin and Shaley Norman and 2 step grandchildren Jennifer Loughern and Tom Jr. Mastin, he has 18 great grand children. He was a member of Faith Chapel in Blairsville and Jubilee Tabernacle Church in De Soto.Ferrell loved to read his bible and talk about God. He would quote scriptures to everyone. He love to work in his yard and garden with his dog .The Family would like to thank all who came to visit and to the V.A. Hospital and to Hospice. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Stella Lawson and 5 sons Ferrell Jr., Darrell, Randy, Jimmy and Jerrell. A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Friday at Jubilee Tabernacle Church with the Rev. Danny Norman officiating. Interment will be in Egyptian Memorial Gardens, with military rites preformed by the Army funeral detail and American Legion and the V.F. W. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Friday, September 23, 2016, at Jubilee Tabernacle Church , De Soto, Illinois. Van Natta Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
