Susan Renee Simmons, 46 of Herrin, Illinois died on Sunday, June 26, 2016, at her home in Herrin, Illinois. She was born Tuesday, September 9, 1969 in Herrin, Illinois to Claude and Gloria (Gardner) Mays they preceded her in death. Susan is survived by her husband Donald Simmons of Herrin 2 cousins Donna and Mary of Johnston City and 1 aunt Ruth of Energy. Susan was a member of the 7th Day Adventist Church in Marion and her church was her most important thing. A Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday at Van Natta Funeral Home located at 427 South Park Avenue Herrin, Illinois 62948 with the Rev. Tom Ferguson officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00am to 1:00pm. Interment will be in Herrin City Cemetery, Herrin, IL.
