Margaret Miles

Mrs. Margaret A. Miles, 74 of Herrin, Illinois passed away peacefully on Friday, April 22, 2016, at Herrin Hospital in Herrin, Illinois. Margaret was a retired homemaker for Williamson County Programs on Aging. She was born in Carterville to John and Grace (Collins) Chew. Margaret is survived by her children, Eddie and wife Teresa Stacy of Herrin, David and wife Lynn Stacy of Herrin, Paul and wife Jackie Stacy of Royalton, Pam and husband Steve Claunch of Herrin, Lee Ann and wife Angela Miles of Herrin. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Two nieces where like sisters to her, Sherry Brandon and Judy Ridings. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Hershel and her 1st husband Bill Stacy, 3 brothers, Harold, Charles and Leon, 4 sisters Mary Ruth Bollinger, June Wagoner Barbara Ogden and Betty Jean Chew. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 pm Tuesday, April 26 at Van Natta Funeral Home in Herrin with Rev. Don Colson officiating. Visitation will start at 11:00am Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Denning Cemetery, West Frankfort, IL. The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to long time family friend Chris Popham. You were a very big help in caring for our mom. Because of you we were able to care for her at home. You were there for us day and night. words can not express how thankful we are.
