Jerry Skelcher

Jerry Skelcher, age 70, of Herrin, IL, died Monday, March 28, 2016, at Shawnee Christian Nursing Center in Herrin, IL. He was born in Herrin February 7, 1946 to Charles and Eva (Bartlow) Skelcher. He is survived by , 4 sisters Joyce (Jerry) Humphrey of Herrin, Carol (Don) Ward of Herrin, Charlotte (Len) Meade of Carterville and Marilyn (Rick) Kerrigan of Mulkeytown. Also surviving is his 2 daughters Melodie Peralta of Tucson Arizona and Elizabeth Marie Skelcher of Normal Illinois and 2 granddaughters and 1 grandson. Jerry love auctions and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents , 1 daughter Jerlyn Skelcher and brother Butch. Arrangements are being handled by Van Natta Funeral Home, 427 South Park, Herrin, IL where the family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 30, 2016. Funeral service will be at Van Natta Funeral Home at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 30, 2016. Burial will be in Blairsville Cemetery in Blairsville.
