Elizabeth Mc Ginnis

Elizabeth Ann McGinnis, age 72, of Herrin, Illinois, passed away peacefully at 6:40am on October 11th 2015 at Helia Arch in Energy. Elizabeth (Libby) was born to Rev. Raymond and Nadine (Brush) Rendleman on July 24, 1943 in Hafer, Illinois. She married James W McGinnis, son of James and Lora Mae McGinnis, in 1961. She was a retired factory worker from Maytag, where she was very active in the union. She was also an active member of the Energy United Methodist Church, where she enjoyed attending the adult Sunday School Class. Libby is survived by one daughter and son-in-law Jamie and Scott Pribble, one granddaughter Kailee Wollenmann and husband Nate, one grandson Tylar Pribble and wife Daphne, Great Granddaughters Emersyn, Thayer James, and expecting Eliza Jane all of Herrin. She was also survived by “adopted daughter” Izumi Kawaguchi of Osaka Japan. One brother, Willis Clinton Rendleman and wife Marie, sister, Martha Jane Russell and husband Paul Alan. Other survivors include Brother-in-law Bruce McGinnis and wife Sue, Sister-in-law Joyce Daugherty, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, grandson Skylar Pribble, her parents, and mother-in-law, father-in-law, and brother-in-law Paul Daugherty. Visitation will be at Van Natta Funeral home Tuesday evening from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.Funeral will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday October 14th. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family.
