Nicholas Ridgway

Mr. Nicholas Ridgway, 75 of Herrin Illinois died on Sunday, September 13, 2015, at West Side Care Center in West Frankfort, Illinois. He was born in Herrin to Herschel and Maxine (Dunning) Ridgway October 15, 1939. He married Connie Ridgway the love of his life, August 7, 1998 she survives at West Side Care in West Frankfort. He is survived by 1 sister Kay and husband Leroy Ingersoll of Herrin, 1 niece Angel and her husband J. R. of Carterville and 1 great nephew Christian Ray. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 son Nicholas Jr. and 1 nephew Garrett Ingersoll. Mr. Ridgway was one of the original member of the Egyptian Combo, he was a saxophone player. He was a veteran of the Air Force, where he learned his life long career in computer programming. A Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM on Thursday at Van Natta Funeral Home located at 427 South Park Avenue Herrin, Illinois 62948 with the Roger Loss officiating. Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer's Association The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, September 17, 2015, at Van Natta Funeral Home, 427 South Park Avenue , Herrin, Illinois.
