Mae Cox

Mrs. Mae Cox, 93 of Herrin, Illinois died on Sunday, July 19, 2015 Born Thursday, July 13, 1922 in Cambria, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Lizzie (Followell) Schack. She was the wife of Edwin Cox and they were united in marriage November 18, 1939 he survives. Mrs. Cox leaves 1 son Larry Cox of Arlington Texas and 1 daughter Barbara Gentry of Farmersville Illinois, granddaughters Kelley Cox of Cahokia and Diann Josten of Herrin and 3 grandsons Curtis and wife Amy Gentry and Marcus Gentry both of Springfield Illinois and Ricky Cox. Also surviving are great grand children, Alex Gentry of Springfield Illinois and Dakota Josten of Herrin, Jorden, Julia and Emma Gentry all of Springfield Ill. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents 4 brothers Ralph, Burke, Paul and Charlie and 2 sisters, Goldie Jones and Sylvia Edwards and 1 son Jerry. She was a member of 2nd Baptist. She was retired from Allen Industries. The family wants to thank the staff Davita Dialysis Center in Marion for all their support. A Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday at Van Natta Funeral Home located at 427 South Park Avenue Herrin, Illinois 62948. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Carterville, IL. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, July 21, 2015, at Van Natta Funeral Home, 427 South Park Avenue , Herrin, Illinois.
