Thomas Brown

Thomas Dean Brown of Herrin passed away at Marion's Heartland Regional Medical Center on July 5, 2015. Tommy Dean was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church and graduated from St. Mary's Grade School. He was a graduate of Herrin High School. Tommy began working at Brown and Colombo TV & Appliance Store in grade school and became owners in 1977 along with his parents Clyde and Louise Brown. He was a 3rd and 4th Degree Knights of Columbus Member and a lifetime member of the Herrin Elks Lodge. Tommy Dean was united in marriage with Joy Naylor at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church on May 28, 1993. He is survived by his wife, Joy, mother-in-law, Maxine Naylor; his daughter Jennifer Feather and son-in-law, Shane Feather; and cousins Frank and Vicki Colombo. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Louise (Colombo)Brown, Uncle Tommy Colombo and Aunt JoAnn Colombo. Funeral arrangements are being conducted by Van Natta Funeral Home. Visitation will be at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin on Tuesday, 2015 at 9:00 a.m until 11:00 am. The funeral mass will follow at OLMC at 11:00 a.m. with Monsignor Ken Schaefer officiating. Interment will be in San Carlos Cemetery.
