Jay L. Yandell

Mr. Jay Lynn Yandell, 67 of Herrin, Illinois died on Thursday, January 15, 2009, at Heartland Regional Hospital in Marion, Illinois.Born Saturday, November 22, 1941 in Herrin, Illinois, he was the son of the late Thomas Yandell and the late Dorothy Yandell. He was the husband of Rita (Jackson) Yandell she survives of Herrin Ill. Other suvivors include 1 daughter Amy Oakley of Herrin, 1 grand daughter Kalie Wallace of Herrin, 2 grand sons Triston Wallace of Herrin and Joshua Robinson of West Virginia, 1 sister Martha Auler of Urbana Ill., 1 neice Jennifer VanSteenhuyse of Chicago Ill., 2 nephews James Auler of Chicago Ill., Robert Auler of Oswego New York He was owner of J. B. Goodride in Herrin. He was a member of Bass Busters Club of Marion Ill., Fin & Feather Club Freeman Spur Ill., Marion Elks Club and was an SIU Allumni. Funeral service will be Sunday at 1:30pm and visitation will be from 12:00 to 1:30pm Sunday at the Van Natta Funeral Home in Herrin Illinois. There will be a private burial at a later date. Memorials can be made to the Fin and Feather Club in Freeman Spur Ill.
