Scott Fitzgerald Thorsen, 40 of Marion, Illinois died on Saturday, May 9, 2015, at 4:35 am in the Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. Scott was employed at Timberline in Marion Ill and was a member of the Cornerstone Church in Marion Il. He was born Friday, December 20, 1974 in Anaheim, California to Ronald and Lindy (Thorsen) Saliba. He was soon to be married to Amy Nowakowski of Marion she survives. he is survived by his mother, 2 sisters Sara and Stacy Saliba of Benton and 4 children, Jesse of Marion, Matthew, Julianna and Tyler all of Wisconsin, and 4 step children, Michael , Taylor, C.J. and Alexis Nowakowski all of Marion. Also surviving is 1 niece Emalie Saliba of Benton and several aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his father and 1 sister Melissa Saliba. A funeral service will be at 8:00 PM on Wednesday at Van Natta Funeral Home located at 427 South Park Avenue Herrin, Illinois 62948. Interment will be at a later date in Herrin City Cemetery, Herrin, IL. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at Van Natta Funeral Home, 427 South Park Avenue , Herrin, Illinois.
