John Darnell

Royalton-Mr. John Darnell, age 39, of Valier, IL, went home to be with the lord with many family and friends at his side Thursday, April 9, 2015, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN. John was born in Elgin October 1, 1975 to John and Sue (Bowlin) Darnell He is survived by his mother of Benton, brother Joshua of Virginia, sister Brandy McDaniel of Metropolis, wife Charle Darnell, they had a large family, Brianna Becker, Angelica Scholp, Jaeden Grandfeldt, Ranson Darnell, John Darnell 3rd, Gabriel Darnell, Gavin Darnell and Grant all of Sesser and Jordan Darnell of Harrisburg and Gora Brawn of Zeigler, also grandchildren Jeremiah Woods and Trinitee Taborn Scott. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother Sandra Bowlin, many aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, one sister Shelly Darnell. He graduated from Joppa High school and was a coal miner . He also worked in construction. John was full of life and was a great father, son,brother and friend. Arrangements are being handled by Van Natta Funeral Home, 427 South Park, Herrin, IL where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Sunday, April 12, 2015. Funeral service will be at Van Natta Funeral Home at 11:00 AM, Monday, April 13, 2015, Rev. Harold Whitlock officiating. Interment will be at Maple Hill Cemetery, Sesser, IL
