SESSER -- Victor Brandalise, 71, died Monday, Sept. 22, 2014, in Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30, in Van Natta Funeral Home on Illinois 148, between Christopher and Sesser, with the Revs. Marvin Boswell and Don Bulliard officiating. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery in Sesser. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Victor was a coal miner at Old Ben 21. He loved camping and was an avid hunter. He also enjoyed riding horses and four-wheelers. He was a loving husband, loving father and loving grandfather and will be missed by all. He was born April 25, 1943, in West Frankfort to Aldo and Alta (Veach) Brandalise. He married Connie (Boswell) Brandalise on April 14, 1979, and she survives in Sesser. Other survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Anita and Richard Evans of Christopher, Janette and Rudy Roule of Mulkeytown and Vicki and Tim Spiller of Du Quoin; son and daughter-in-law, David and Georgette Brandalise of Sesser; sister, Linda Brandalise of Sesser; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Marvin and Lula Bell Boswell of Mulkeytown; seven grandchildren, Amanda and husband, Jamie, Blankenship of Long Creek, Matthew and wife, Amanda, Evans of Paducah, Justin Roule and fiancée, Jenny, and Jared Roule, all of Mulkeytown, and John Michael Brandalise, Jacob Brandalise and Amber and husband, Alex, Zelma, all of Sesser; four great-grandchildren, Nathan and wife, Rochel, Blankenship of Long Creek, Jacob Evans of Paducah and Alexis and Avery Zelma, both of Sesser; and his pug and special companion, Brandi. He was preceded in death by his parents; and father-in-law and mother in-law, Jess and Irene Boswell.
