Opal Severs

Mrs. Opal Severs, age 95, of Herrin, IL, died Tuesday, September 30, 2008 at the Herrin Hospital. Mrs Severs was a homemaker and a member of Hurricane Memorial Baptist Church in Herrin. She was born April 11, 1913 in Marble Hill Mo. to Clark and Marzilla (Welch) Crader. She married Guy Severs March 18, 1936 in Ullin Illinois. Surviving is one son Mr. Leo and June Severs, Cambria, IL. 1 daughter Linda and Ron Betterton of Nashville Tenn. 1 daughter-in-law Paula Severs of Herrin. Also several Grand Childern, Great Grand Ch. , Great Great Grand Ch. She was prededed in death by husband , parents, 1 son Danny Severs, 1 daughter, Joyce (Severs) Hunter, 6 brothers, 4 sisters. The family would like to thank Dr. Pramote and Staff of the Herrin Hospital. Graveside services will be at 1:00pm Friday at East Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Energy Ill Rev Don Colson will be officiating. Family and friends are asked to go directly to the cemetery.Arrangements are being handled by Van Natta Funeral Home, 427 South Park, Herrin, IL.
