Donald E. George

Mr. Donald E. George, age 78, of Joliet, IL, died Sunday, August 3, 2008 in Joliet, IL at the home of his loving daughter Tammy Chamblee. He was born in Carterville, IL. to Ben and Mammie (Murphy) George they preceded him in death.He is survived by his loving family Five childern and in-laws Tammy and John Chamblee of Joliet, IL., Mary and Phillip Clark of Missouri, Rick and Debbie George of Iowa, Jerry and Sharon George of Joliet, Dorothy and Steve George of Michigan. 2 brothers Jim and wife Maxine George of Herrin and Jr. and wife Wanda George of Herrin. 15 gr ch, 28 great gr ch, A loving four legged companion Sooner. Mr. George was retired from the EJ & E Railroad. He also served in the Army from 1951 to 1953. Graveside service will be Thursday at 11:00 am in the East Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Herrin, IL. Family and friends are to go directly to the cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Van Natta Funeral Home, 427 South Park, Herrin, IL
