Mrs. Lee Bird, 66 of Bradenton, Florida died on Sunday, February 2, 2014, at Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, Florida. Born Tuesday, July 1, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois to Lee and Ester (Jackson) Wyrenbeck. She is survived by 1 daughter Connie and Husband Bronson Simmerman of Johnston City, 1 son Michael and wife Michele Bird of Energy, 1 sister Alice and husband Ronald Wasson of Manteno Ill, 10 grand children Crystal Lawrence, Darrell and Carrie Coleman, Zachary Smith all of Marion, Leeann Simmerman of Carbondale, Ashley Simmerman of San Diego California, Bronson Simmerman Jr. of Marion Ill, Michaella Bird of Herrin, Travis Jones of Energy, Jessica Bird of Herrin and Connor Bird of Energy. Also surviving are 7 great grand children, Dalton, Camryn, Maecee, Peyton, Tristen, Zariyah and Zakai. Mrs. Bird was married to James Bird he died March 6, 2001. She preceded in death by her parent,1 brother Raymond. Mrs. Bird also leaves a special companion her dog Buster. Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday at Van Natta Funeral Home located at 427 South Park Avenue Herrin, Illinois 62948 . Interment will be in Herrin City Cemetery, Herrin, IL. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to on Saturday, February 8, 2014, at Van Natta Funeral Home, 427 South Park Avenue , Herrin, Illinois.
