Wanda Popham

Mrs. Wanda Nadine Popham, 77 of Dupo formerly of Herrin, Illinois went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at her sisters home where she was living with her sister and niece by her side, she had been ill for sometime. She was born Tuesday, August 4, 1936 in Herrin to Bill and Bea Stacy. She married Bob Popham August 19th, 1955. She was a home maker and was a member of Dupo Apostolic Church and West Monroe Apostolic Church. She loved her family more than anything,had lots of friends and was loved by everyone. Mrs. Popham loved music , going to Sunday school, church and going out to eat. She is survived by 2 sons John and wife Juanita Popham of Dupo Il. and Randy Popham of Panama City FL., and1 daughter Vicki Mason of Springfield Ill. Also surviving are 7 grand children, Shelly (Mike) Brown of Waterloo, Sharon and (Randy) of Granite City, Johnny (Kassie) Popham of Dupo, Brandon Popham of Panama City Fl., Karlos, Alvonte and Journei Mason all of Springfield Il.,4 great grand children Mickey and Eric Brown of Waterloo, Alyssa Ford of Granite City and Karlos Jr. of Honolulu Hawaii, 1 sister Debbie Terry of Marion, brother-in-law Darrell Terry of Petersburg In., 3 sister-in-laws Diane Cothran of Chicago, Sharon Simpson of St. Louis Mo., Lois Stacy of Herrin. She also had several nieces and nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers and 1 granddaughter. A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Monday at Van Natta Funeral Home located at 427 South Park Avenue Herrin, Illinois 62948 with the Rev. Terry Griffith and Rev. Dan Batchler officiating. Interment will be in Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, IL. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Sunday, November 3, 2013, at Van Natta Funeral Home, 427 South Park Avenue , Herrin, Illinois.
