Virginia Hock

Mrs. Virginia Hock, age 91, of Herrin, IL, died Monday, December 17, 2012 at Heila Health Care Center in Energy Ill. Mrs. Hock was born in Energy to Raymond and Pauline Anderson (Sumner) Hock. She was married to Claude Hock on January 17, 1938 in Energy and he died on October 3, 1999. Mrs. Hock worked for 25 years at Smolers in Herrin and she also did alteration from her home for several years. She was a member of the West Monroe Apostolic Church in Herrin. She is survived by her daughter Charlotte and husband Ron Aissie of Carterville. She has 3 grand children ; Rhonda and husband J.B. Cope of Mt Vernon, Paula and husband Stan Zdan of Cissne Ill, Christy and Doug Gribble of Marion; 6 great gr. children; Nicole Zdan and fiancée Alan Patridge of Cissne Ill., Nick Zdan of Texas, Courtney and husband Calen Durham of Mt. Vernon, Christopher and fiancée Hillary Sherridan of Mt. Vernon, Jackson Gribble and Alex Gribble both of Marion. She also has 7 gr gr grand children; Sydney and Madison Durham of Mt Vernon, Alana, Aiden, and Azaiah Patridge, Jackson and Jocelyn Sherridan all of Mt Vernon Ill. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 son Donal Hock, 1 sister Betty Aro and 1 grandson John Paul Hock. Arrangements are being handled by Van Natta Funeral Home, 427 South Park, Herrin, IL graveside service will be at Egyptian Memorial Gardens in Herrin Ill., at 2:30 PM, Saturday, December 22, 2012. Rev. Ron Aissie will officiate at the cemetery.
