JOHNSTON CITY — Jack Barwick, 82, died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, in Parkway Manor Nursing Home. He was born June 22, 1930, in Carterville, to Victor and Alma Woods Barwick. He is survived by two sons, John Barwick and Terri Wade of Cambria, and Mark Barwick of Johnston City ; one brother, Dean Barwick of Florida ; one great-aunt, Jane Korando of Carterville; son-in-law, Terry Moore of Marion ; eight grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. He was married to Beverly Daffron Barwick. After her death he married Carrol Merritt Barwick and she survives. He then married Patricia Fisher Barwick and she died February 2008. He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Jacqueline Moore. Mr. Barwick was a member of Christian Covenant Fellowship in Carterville. Mr. Barwick was a live stock dealer and retired from SIU as a custodian. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, in Van Natta Funeral Home in Herrin, with the Rev. Ralph Brandon officiating. Burial will be in the Metropolis Memorial Garden Cemetery in Metropolis. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
