Mona Smith

Mrs. Mona Smith, age 93, of Herrin, IL, died Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at Carbondale Memorial Hospital in Carbondale, IL. She was a member of the First Christian Church. She was born in Herrin to Arthur and Elizabeth Eisenhower Mann March 25, 1919. She was married to Adrian Smith in 1941. Surviving is 1 son Tim and wife Sandy of Waltonville and 1 daughter Crystal Smith of Henderson Kentucky, 1 sister Eva Hodges of Herrin. She has 9 grand children and 4 great great grandchildren also surviving. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents, husband , 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Arrangements are being handled by Van Natta Funeral Home, 427 South Park, Herrin, IL where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, August 2, 2012. Funeral service will be at Van Natta Funeral Home at 11:00 AM, Friday, August 3, 2012, Rev. Ron Henwood officiating. Interment will be at Egyptian Memorial Gardens, ,
