Laura Impson

Mrs. Laura Impson, age 82, of Herrin, IL, died Monday, October 31, 2011, at Herrin Hospital in Herrin, IL. She was born in Herrin September 20, 1929, to Edward and Harriett (Thompson) Misker. She was married to Jack Impson he passed away April 20, 1990. One Son: Mr. Steven and Beth Impson, Woodstock, GA, 4 grand children; Amy Colbetzor of Henrietta GA, Matthew Impson of Woodbridge VA, Abbey Impson of Marietta GA and Amber Hooker of Herrin. Also surviving are 4 great grand children and 1 nephew Edward Misker of Wintergreen VA. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers Edward and Loren Misker, 1 sister Gladys Chipman, 1 daughter Nancy Leatherman and 2 grand children. Mrs. Impson was retired from the water department at the City of Herrin and she was a member of the 1st Baptist Church in Herrin. Arrangements are being handled by Van Natta Funeral Home, 427 South Park, Herrin, IL where the family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Wednesday, November 2, 2011. Funeral service will be at Van Natta Funeral Home at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, November 2, 2011, Mike Hutson officiating. Interment will be at Herrin City Cemetery, Herrin, IL
