Leavada Elliott

Mrs. Leavada Elliott, age 87, of Marion, IL, died Friday, July 1, 2011, at her home in Marion, IL surrounded by her family. She was born in Fanshawe Ok. to Shuey George and Goldie (Bost) Richards. She married Vernon Elliott on January 29, 1940. She lived most of her life in Oklahoma. She moved to Illinois three years ago. she was preceded in death by 3 brothers, William Leroy, Garnet Dean and Floyd Eugene Richards, 2 sisters, Helen and Minnie Richards, 2 sons Jimmy Dan and Bobby Ray Elliott, 1 grandson, Bobby Leroy Elliott and i great granson Devan Michael Craig. Suvivors include 3 daughters, Anna Louise Bost of Wister Ok., Linda Sue Thompson of Marion Ill. and Lois June and husband William Edward Blankenship of Marion Ill. She is also survived by 1 sister Laberta Elliott of Wewoka OK., several grandchildren, great grandchildren , great great grand children and many nieces and nephews. Leavada was Baptized in Wister Oklahoma at the First Southern Baptist Church on March 22, 1992. She enjoyed fishing, take care of her puppies, raeding and drawing. She spent her life taking care of others. Arrangements are being handled by Van Natta Funeral Home, 427 South Park, Herrin, IL where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, July 5, 2011. Graveside service will be at 1:00pm in the Wolf Cemetery, Seminole, OK. Thursday July 7, 2011.
