Maxine Seiler

Mrs. Maxine Seiler, age 85, of Cambria, IL, died Saturday, May 28, 2011, at her home in Cambria, IL. Mrs.Seiler was born in Seymour Il., on April 2, 1926 to Laura and Cater Russell, and raised in Tompkinsville Kentucky then moved to Decatur Ill where she meet her husband Paul Chris Seiler Sr.. They moved to Joliet area and shared 38 years of marriage until Paul died on April 1, 1985. Mrs. Seiler is survived by 2 sons Paul and wife Sue Seiler of Cambria and Robert and wife Donna Seiler of Plainfield Ill.,1 step daughter Carolyn and husband Gale Chapman of Energy . She is also survived by grand children Brandon Seiler of Plainfield, Kevin Chapman of California, Robert Dennis of Plainfield, Paula Bennett of Herrin, Rhonda and husband Dave Shoemake of Herrin, Lisa and husband Jesus Miranda, Rebecca Rea Seiler of Plainfield, Great grand children Todd and Chad Shoemake, Autumn Stearns and Austin Bennett all of Herrin, Ryan Rogers of Marion, Samantha Seiler Cambria, John Taylor of Marion, Morgan and husband John Mitchell of Carterville, Madeline, Claudia and Jacob Seiler of Plainfield great-great grand children Bailey and Tatum Shoemake of Herrin, Haley Rogers of DuQuoin, Clarity Seiler of Carterville. Also surviving is brother Roy and wife Norma Russell and sister Clarine Compton, sister-in-law Jeanette Russell of Decatur, nieces Paula and husband Bruce Gosnell of Herrin , Shirley and husband Tony Benner, Donna and husband Tom, JoAnne and husband Dave Messard and Brenda Russell all of Decatur. One nephew Randall Russell of Missouri. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents,sister Viola Brammer and Pauline Boyer, brother Rondal Russell, brother-in-law Don Compton, Buford Steinhardt and Bill Brammer, grandson Charles "Chuck" Seiler and nephew Lloyd "Bob" Yates. Special thanks to care givers Mary Rogers and Judith Khan. Maxine will be missed for her whit and the many laughs and memories she gave us. Arrangements are being handled by Van Natta Funeral Home, 427 South Park, Herrin, IL Funeral service will be at Van Natta Funeral Home at 10:00 AM, Thursday, June 2, 2011, Rev. Ed Hoke officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday June 1,2011 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at Herrin City Cemetery, Herrin, IL
