Shari Michelle Lane

Shari Lane, 44 of Carrier Mills, Illinois went to be with Jesus on Friday, April 8, 2011, at Barnes=Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. Shari was a member of the Southern Illinois Worship Center in Herrin. She witnessed every where she went and loved playing games, loved her dog and her family. She worked as a real estate agent with Midwest Real Estate Agency. Born Monday, October 3, 1966 in Herrin, Illinois to parents Joe and Sharon (McGhee) Johnson of Carrier Mills. She was the wife of Eric Lane, they were married Sept. 2, 1998 he survives. She is also survived by 2 sisters, Cindy Wharton of Kentucky and Rebellie and her husband Kim Beavers of Carterville Ill, also 2 nephews Cameron and Glenn Lane of Marion and 2 nieces Macey Donahue of Carterville and Lauren Lane of Marion and grandmother Lorene Wharton of Herrin. Shari and a special puppy Lucy. She was preceded in death by her father Mike Wharton, grand mother Nell McGhee, mother and father-in-law Glenn and Diana Lane, grand parents Julia and Charles Lane and Deloris and Henry Schneider. Also Step grand father Walter Maleski. A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday at Van Natta Funeral Home located at 427 South Park Avenue Herrin, Illinois 62948 with the Rev. Jason McKinnies and Chad Everett officiating. Interment will be in Herrin City Cemetery, Herrin, IL. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, April 11, 2011, at Van Natta Funeral Home, 427 South Park Avenue, Herrin, Illinois.
