Kyle Cornell

Kyle M. Cornell, age 31, of Jerseyville, IL, died Friday, February 11, 2011, at his residence in Jerseyville, IL. He was born in Terre Haute In. to his father Ronald Cornell of Johnson City and mother Desnee (Whorten) Ford of Roodhouse Il. He is also survived by Step Father Dale Ford of Roodhouse Ill., Ex-wife Crystal Cornell of Jerseyville ill., 2 children Elizabeth and Kameron Cornell and three step children Carle, Abby and Laurie. Mr. Cornell was survived by 1 brother Chris and wife Chrystal (Langley) Cornell of Herrin, three step brothers Chris and Trish Ford of Roodhouse Ill., Nick Ford of Whitehall Ill and Tony and Stephanie Crain Ford of Roodhouse Ill. His grand mothers Deloris Cornell of Herrin and Ruby Whorten of Whitehall Ill, 2 nieces Mariah and Kaylin Cornell and 1 nephew Christian Harris. He has several Aunts, Uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by grandfathers Richard Cornell and Merle (Bud) Whorten. Mr. Cornell served in Afghanistan in the Army Infantry and with the Elite 10the Mountain Division. He was a member of the Herrin V.F. W. Post in Herrin. He loved to hunt and fish. He loved to spend time with his children and step children. Kyle love to cook. Memorials can be made to Kyle Cornell Memorial Fund envelopes will be provided by the funeral home. Arrangements are being handled by Van Natta Funeral Home, 427 South Park, Herrin, IL where the family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Sunday, February 20, 2011. Funeral service will be at Van Natta Funeral Home at 2:00 PM, Sunday, February 20, 2011, Rev. Greg Parker officiating. Interment will be at Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, IL. Military Rites will be provided by Herrin V.F.W. and Herrin American Legion.
