Cheryl Mezo

Mrs. Cheryl Mezo, age 65, of Herrin, IL, died Saturday, February 5, 2011, at her home in Herrin, IL. She was a member of the Christian Covenant Fellowship. She was born in Benton Ill. to Troy and Evelyn Finney of Herrin they survive. Mrs. Mezo was married to Jerry Mezo for 38 years he survives of Herrin. Mrs. Mezo is also survived by 4 daughters and one son Jeana Gallagher of Shreveport La., Misty and husband Joe Cooper of Benton Ill., Tracy Steel of Herrin , Brandy and husband Lance Haas of Edwardsville Ill, and Troy and wife Thelma Steele of Potosi Mo. There are 11 grandchildren Nevaeh Haas, Katie Haas, Adam Steele, Jesse Steele, Jennifer Hall, Alissa Steele, Aaron Steele, Chris Steele, Marty Price, Randy Price and Mary Price. Also surviving is 9 great grandchildren and cousins Carol and Don Bebout. She was preceded in death by 1 daughter Amy Green, 2 grandchildren Alexis Mezo and Jeffery Price, cousin Janet Loftus and aunt Edith loftus 1 son-in-law Richard Gallagher. Arrangements are being handled by Van Natta Funeral Home, 427 South Park, Herrin, IL where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, February 7, 2011 and at the church from 10:00am until 1:00pm. Funeral service will be at Christian Covenant Fellowship at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, February 8, 2011, Rev. Ralph Brandon officiating. Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery, Carterville, IL
